A trailer has been released for the Christmas special of Call the Midwife that has a handful of dramatic emphasis.

Actress Talks About Being 'Truthful & Sensitive' On 'Call The Midwife'

Released on Saturday, the promo shows young girls dancing like little fairies as well as the crowd sitting around the table with colored crowns on their heads. "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" plays in the background as everyone looks to be enjoying themselves for the holiday season.

There are also some intense phone calls along with more newborn children and decorating Christmas trees. There will likely be some baby drama when an infant is in a car, causing some tearful moments. Not to mention, the characters learn how love can be unexpected.

Actress Dishes On Her Character's 'Horrible Story' On 'Call The Midwife'

As scary as some scenes appear to be, overall it looks like everyone will have a memorable holiday season to cherish. The episode will air on Christmas Day.

In a recent interview with Daily Mail, Emerald Fennell (Patsy Mount) admitted that the British series has some moments that are almost too much to handle.

"Sometimes a particular wrenching storyline will demand that we cry for hours- and it's interesting when you do that, your body thinks something has happened, even though your mind knows that it hasn't," Fennell said."Often I'll go home and continue crying. I never have to 'try' to make the tears flow. Just reading the script usually has me in floods."
