Pretty Little Liars will open season 5B with a "jolt," a "jump-star" that will lead up to a shocking finale.

Titled "Through a Mirror, Darkly," the Jan. 6 return will enter the storyline three months after the Christmas special.

"It's a jolt and a jump-start, and by the end of the winter premiere you'll know exactly the direction the show is heading," series creator Marlene King informed TV Guide. "It's a great barometer to see how quickly we'll be moving things ahead."

"The guys know more this season than they ever have," actress Lucy Hale (Aria) dished to TV Guide while Tyler Blackburn (Caleb) teased that the men of Rosewood will get up to a little "Hardy Boys-type stuff" when Toby, Ezra, and Caleb link up.

As the boys uncover some new intel, Pretty Little Liars writers will be carefully setting up a interesting finale.

"There is a big bombshell for the finale that I hope doesn't get out... it's a shocker," Hale teased, according to TV Guide.
