Popular Dancing With the Stars pro Mark Ballas recently discussed the possibility of returning for season 20 this spring and admitted that he could not say if he would.

Ballas, who is currently on tour with the Dancing With the Stars Live! Tour, recently told the Orlando Sentinel that he was not able to reveal if he would be returning as a pro for season 20.

The upcoming season will also be the 10th anniversary of the popular ABC dance competition and Ballas has been with the show since season 5, so it seems likely that he will be back. This is especially likely considering his track record. Last season he got second place with Sadie Robertson and the season before he got third place with Candace Cameron Bure.

As for why Ballas thinks Dancing With the Stars has lasted so long, he chalks it up to the variety.

"Every season is always changing," he noted. "You're seeing the same style dances but done a million different ways. It's intriguing and appealing to the audience. It's not the same, redundant things. The show lets dancers express ourselves."

The pro admitted that Robertson's attitude made it easier to complete last season.

"She was incredibly easy to train. Her attitude was flawless," he said. "She never complained, never had any tantrums. She was there on time, a smile on her face, the sweetest disposition."

The couple came in second only to actor Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson last season. Could season 20 lead to a Ballas win?

Dancing With the Stars season 20 is slated to premiere Monday, March 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
