Feuds between the wives have seemed to be a pretty natural thing on Sister Wives, but for the first time, fans have gained some more insight into one of the longest-standing ones.

5 Things We Hope To See On The New Season of 'Sister Wives'

Janelle opened up in the show's season six premiere Jan. 4, and admitted for the first time on camera that there are issues between herself and Meri-and they're ones which have been there since the minute Kody took Janelle on as his second wife.

In the episode, Janelle admitted that she and Meri had previously been friends before she married Kody, but their relationship began to fall apart after Janelle ended her previous marriage with Meri's brother in favor of being Kody's new wife. And since then, she also admits, she has felt like her opinion is least important on matters-while Meri's is always respected and valued.

Who Is The 5th Mystery Woman In Kody's Life?

"There's a lot of things that happened over the years that were very hurtful to me, but especially between Meri and I," she said during the episode. "...For me, it's about not being heard. There are times when I am sitting there, talking with the family, and it's like, nobody's hearing me. They're not hearing me at all...and Meri's is heard. It's an interesting insight into the core difference between Meri and I, and why we've struggled over the years."

This isn't the first time the issues between Meri and Janelle have been revealed however. In the family's book, Becoming Sister Wives: The Story of an Unconventional Marriage, Janelle opened up about how the relationship between the two seemed to change overnight.

"Meri and I went from cordial to frosty overnight. We snipped at each other over the smallest things...It was clear I was unable to do anything right-or rather, in a way that suited Meri," she wrote at the time.

It is unclear if the two will put a true effort into working out their differences as the season progresses, though the family therapist does encourage Janelle to bring Meri along for some of her sessions.

There may be a chance that things have started to get better however, as Janelle did post an interesting tweet during the show that seems to suggest that the issues may have been resolved over time.

"I am so grateful my family wants me to be involved with them in everything," she wrote. Sister Wives airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on TLC.
