While no announcement has officially been made yet on the status of FOX's Red Band Society, the cast may be planning on putting time into other projects in case they receive word that the show was cancelled.

'Red Band Society's' Director Posts Emotional Goodbye To Fans

Nolan Sotillo, who portrayed cancer-stricken Jordi on the show, may have switched his focus from acting since wrapping the series, and is instead working on his music career by sharing videos of himself covering hit songs, including Nick Jonas' Jealous and Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud on his social media accounts.

The 20-year-old most recently covered Sheeran's song just before the New Year, sharing it on his Instagram page for his followers.

last night I was jammin to "thinking out loud" and I figured you may want to hear a snippet.

"Last night I was jamming to Thinking Out Loud and I figured you may want to hear a snippet," he captioned the video.

If Sotillo is focusing more on his music career in the wake of Red Band's uncertain future, he would be the second member of the cast who is embracing the idea, as Astro (who portrayed Dash), has also been focusing on his music career, and eve released an EP titled Computer Era on iTunes back in December.

While there's no guarantee that Sotillo and Astro are both turning their focus away from their show, there is still no official word about its status either, leaving both them and their co-stars unsure of whether or not they will return to work anytime in the near future.

FOX halted production on the freshman drama series after 13 episodes back in November, and left the series off the spring schedule for the time being, leaving the fate of three unaired episodes also up in the air-but has not officially announced plans to cancel the show. Fans have since begun a large-scale campaign to try and bring the show back by tweeting using #saveredbandsociety, and by starting a petition on change.org that had gathered 24,040 supporters by press time.
