Lucas and Carrie are about to come across some exciting yet scary adventures when Banshee returns this Friday.

On Monday, the TV show's Twitter page posted a little synopsis on what the opening episode will contain, which will involve these two characters having to deal with something that they might have to develop some thick skin for.

"#Banshee 3x01, (2015-01-09) Carrie faces backlash in the wake of her revelation about her past; Lucas faces a new threat," the tweet says.

This leaves a lot to the imagination since it didn't mention what the backlash and threats are going to be. It could have something to do with Chayton since he'll be back to cause some more wild mayhem, according to writer Jonathan Tropper.

"He's going to unleash a whole new kind of hell on the streets of Banshee, and with him coming back, you have Lucas and Proctor on separate paths both trying to figure out if they still have to be the same men they are if they can evolve into something else," Tropper told GamerHub TV.

The writer also mentioned that some new bad guys are going to make appearances as they emotionally disturb the main characters.

"The stakes are a little higher emotionally for our characters and it's a little more of a complicated season," Tropper said. "And at the same time, we've really upped the ante on our action set pieces and on the villains that come in to replace Rabbit, there's a lot of fun surprises coming."

Banshee Season 3 will air on Friday, January 9 at 10 p.m. ET on Cinemax.
