The co-creators on ABC's Once Upon a Time have assured "Captain Swan" shippers that they really don't have much to worry about in the second half of season 4.

'Once Upon a Time's Emma Exploring Her 'Particular Heritage' As More Secrets Are Revealed

Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) have gone through their fair share of trials and tribulations on Once Upon a Time, with fans constantly worried that they are going to separate. Luckily, Once Upon a Time co-creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the various relationships on the show, highlighting the fact that Emma and Hook's will keep developing.

"As far as Captain Swan shippers are concerned I would say that the relationship between Emma and Hook is something we've been developing for a while and we're going to continue to develop it," Horowitz said.

However, as is commonplace on Once Upon a Time, it won't be sunshine and rainbows for the couple.

"You're going to see more challenges between the two of them as the season progresses," Horowitz revealed. "There's going to be some very unique, not necessarily obstacles in their relationship, but personal obstacles that will make things interesting for the two of them."

Horowitz did not delve into anything specific that was ahead for Emma and Hook, but fans can only hope that there won't be anything as drastic as Hook's heart being ripped out of his chest (literally), as it was in the first half of the season.

Once Upon a Time returns for the second half of season 4 on Sunday, March 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
