Jane (Simon Baker) is already considering abandoning the crime fighting life style, and the dangers of Lisbon's current job may make him more determined to take his new girlfriend with him.

Set to air as episode 8, the Jan. 21 installment will force the faux psychic to watch Lisbon walk into danger as Abbott's (Rockmond Dunbar) team works to protect a key murder witness from a hired assassin.

This isn't the first time Lisbon will be in the line of fire, but the Jisbon's deepening relationship will undoubtedly make the Mentalist uneasy. Jane was able to rescue Lisbon in the nick of time during "The Graybar Hotel," but Baker's character will surly be wondering what will happen if Lisbon is somehow caught off guard.

In the meantime, Jisbon still has to navigate the perils of "Green Light" and "Little Yellow House." In "Green Light," Abbott's former boss will blackmail him when the FBI discovers the DEA botched an investigation, and Lisbon's brothers will make an appearance in "Little Yellow House."
