"Call Me Maybe" singer Carly Rae Jepsen's boyfriend was kept under-wraps for much of the time the pair has been dating. However, Carly Rae Jepsen opened up to People magazine about her "easy-going" relationship with boyfriend, Matthew Koma.

"I love to go on spontaneous dates and do things that we've never tried before or stay at home and make a homemade dinner," Carly Rae Jepsen said of her boyfriend. "I really like to cook. One of my favorite things to make is homemade sushi. I know how to make the rolls and it's really fun to do."

The 26 year old went on to say that she thinks confident guys are sexy.

"I really like guys who have confidence, but not the cocky over-the-top confidence," Jepsen told People at the U.S. Open's annual Arthur Ashe Kids Day in Queens, N.Y. "Guys with the right type of confidence are really sexy."

Jepsen and Koma have gone public with their relationship recently. A few weeks ago, the New York Daily News reported that Koma referred to Jepsen as his girlfriend at the GetGlue HD Launch Party in New York City.

"He's a really great guy and really talented," Jepsen added about Koma.

While Jepsen's US album debut is set for next month, Koma is also lauching his own musical projects. He is a vocalist for Zedd's "Spectrum" and Alesso's "Years."

Jepsen's album "Kiss" drops on Sept. 18.
