The CW came out with a list of early renewals for its shows, and Beauty and the Beast was not on it, could this mean that the third season would be its last?

Beauty and Beast Season 3 Filming At Central Park?

While shows like Arrow, Jane the Virgin, The Flash, and Vampire Diaries have been renewed, there is no mention about the fate of Beauty and the Beast. This could also be because, the third season of the show is in production, and news of another chapter would only be revealed while the show is airing or toward the end of season 3. But the fact that the third chapter was really hard won, and took a great push from the fans and the chances seemed slim, means Beauty and the Beast might have to put up a fight again or maybe not as this chapter might be being written as the last one.

While filming of season 3 of Beauty and the Beast is well underway, there has been no official word on the release date for the next chapter. Recently, Stuart Gillard, the director of the series, addressed the question when it was recently posed to him by a fan via Twitter.

"@jazzangel1226 the network hasn't told us when we return yet. We are waiting along with all of you," he tweeted.

In other recent news, the show took away two wins at the People's choice awards, which took place on January 7. The show won for the favorite network sci-fi/fantasy TV show and Kristin Kreuk who plays the part of Catherine in the series, also won favorite cable sci-fi/fantasy TV actress.

Filming for season 3 of Beauty and the Beast resumed on January 6 after a brief hiatus.

Two of the cast and crew members of the CW series, revealed that filming is set to begin on January 6, as the tweeted their excitement at the wheels being set in motion again. "Day 1 of BATB 2015 commences tomorrow with great love and support from you the BEASTIES the dedicated diehard family! #BATB #no-slowing-Dwn!" tweeted actor Jason Gedrick, who is most likely guest starring in season 3.

Gillian Horvath, who is a writer for the show also posted the news via her account.

"Hiatus ends today. Filming resumes tomorrow. Which means - best part! - dailies on Wednesday. Love seeing scripts come to life," she tweeted.

Gedrick has generally been actively tweeting about the filming of season 3.

"I would describe the next shooting episode as "Diabolically Seductive". #BATB," he tweeted on January 4.

This was preceded by a tweet about the script and how amazing the music would be for the episode.
