Chris Brown reportedly feels as though he has a lot to prove in his relationship with on-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran.

The 25-year-old singer and his on-again, off-again girlfriend have had a rocky past especially last month when he humiliated her while on stage during his performance at the Power 106 Cali Christmas concert by stating he was single and revealed a few choice words for her, which TMZ captured on video.

The pair went back and forth at each other on social media then before finally rekindling their relationship, but Hollywood Life reported last Wednesday that this year Brown is turning over a new leaf to make sure things with Tran never get that bad ever again.

The site learned that Brown thinks Tran means way too much to him to mess up again.

A source revealed that Brown knows he cannot put Tran on the "back burner" anymore.

"He realizes that his world could potentially be extremely dark and gloomy without her in it," the source shared.

2015 is Brown's year to flourish in his career and in his personal relationship with Tran.

"His goal is to be a completely different man this year. He wants to be successful in his career and his relationship and give equal time to both of them. He feels they go hand in hand," the source added.

The source also said, "He feels like he has way more s--- to prove to Karrueche than she does to prove to him. And he's working on that tremendously hard and will never let anything or anyone come in between their bond."
