It looks like platinum is out and brunette is in for country star Miranda Lambert. 

Why Miranda Lambert Might Be Trying To Lower Her Celebrity Status 

The Somethin' Bad singer made headlines in 2014 when she bobbed her hair for a short and bold 'do, but now it looks like the singer is trying to tone things down.

According to Taste Of Country on Thursday, fans at Lambert's Nashville show on Tuesday were surprised to find that the performer had changed up her hair, going for a dark blonde to light brown color.

Originally Lambert had dyed her hair platinum last summer in honor of her latest album, titled Platinum. Considering she has just embarked on her Certified Platinum Tour, many thought that Lambert would be sticking with the blonde look.

"I got lighter in my hair because I wanted to pay homage to the title of the record," the singer told Taste Of Country back in July, adding that she'd been inspired to take the leap by Marilyn Monroe.

With her new look, it's possible that Lambert is preparing to create a completely different style for her follow-up album. Or maybe she's just trying to put together a more low-profile look to escape the tabloids. Either way, her new hair sure had fans talking in Nashville on Tuesday.

Lambert's 2015 Certified Platinum Tour officially kicked off on Thursday and will run through most of the year.
