The sixth and final season of Justified premieres Tuesday, but the show's creator has revealed the ending for the series is currently unknown.

'Justified' Character Who Has Been On Show Since It Began Will Die Early In Final Season

The FX crime drama only has 13 episodes left and the showrunners are just planning out the eleventh episode as reported by E! Online Sunday.

With that being said, it would seem logical for the show's ending to be sorted; however, Graham Yost revealed to reporters at the final Justified 2015 Winter TCA Press Tour panel that isn't the case.

"We absolutely don't know how this is going to end yet," Yost shared.

He further divulged ideas on how to end the series have been discussed since Season 3.

"[Executive producer] Fred [Golan] and I have been talking about how to end the thing since about season three and it changes every year," Yost said.

He also revealed that he and Timothy Olyphant began discussing ending the series during season 4.

"Tim and I started talking about this in season four and we just felt like if this chapter is about Raylan and Boyd [Walton Goggins], we could only take the story so far," Yost stated, adding, "We didn't want to outstay our welcome."

Olyphant revealed during the panel that the fans of the show will be in tears this season.

"It's going to be depressing," he said, adding, "We're setting you up. But we thought [late author] Elmore [Leonard] would like it. He's never ended his books where you're really crying, so we thought that's what we would do."

The final season of Justified premieres tomorrow, Jan. 20 at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
