It's been a while since any news has come out for the third season of Mistresses ever since Alyssa Milano announced that she was leaving the series, but it's finally been revealed on how the writers plan to work that out.

Chatter On Alyssa Milano's Character On 'Mistresses'

Last Wednesday, ABC president Paul Lee attended the Television Critics Association winter press tour where he gave an update on what's going to happen on the TV drama Considering that Milano won't be there due to the show relocating from Los Angeles to Vancouver, Canada some may have wondered if her character (Savi) would be replaced by someone else. It looks like that's not going to happen.

"We're going to create a new character- were not going to replace her," Lee said, posted on TV Line. "We fully support [Alyssa's] decision to stay here with her family. We're sorry to see her go, but we've got some great plans for Mistresses."

This gives plenty of insight on who this new character coming aboard will be. Not to mention, what are some of these "great plans?"

Milano announced last fall that she would not be returning to the series because she didn't want to separate her family by having to film somewhere else.

"It's with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can't relocate," the actress said in a statement posted on MSN Entertainment. I have two babies under four. Being a mother and wife comes first and I just cannot uproot my children and separate the family by moving away."

Mistresses Season 3 is expected to premiere this summer on ABC.
