According to Sheridan Media on Wednesday, the celebration has taken place in Buffalo, WY every year since the series began four years ago on A&E. The future of the event became uncertain in 2014 when A&E dropped Longmire from its schedule, but by November the series had been picked up by Netflix and hope for the festival became promising.

While a schedule has yet to be released, the event has been known in the past to draw in stars like the show's Robert Taylor (Walt Longmire).

The gathering will allow Johnson and the cast to interact with fans, sign autographs and celebrate a program which means a lot to all of them.

Longmire Days 2015 will take place in Buffalo, WY July 17-20.

The writers are currently at work setting up the show's upcoming season and production for the crime drama is set to begin in March. Longmire will likely return on Netflix for a fourth season during the second half of 2015.
