Justin Bieber delighted his fans when he debuted his new tattoo on Twitter.

The "Biebs" posted a self-portrait of himself posed on a faux fur-covered bed while topless with messy hair.

Bieber captioned the picture: "new tattoo it's a crown if you couldnt tell".

The 18-year-old posted the picture of the new artwork on his chest on Thursday, Aug. 31. The permanent ink job is his seventh tattoo.

The "Boyfriend" singer has showed off other tattoos to his "Belieber" fans this summer: one of the Japanese Kanji symbol (meaning 'music'), another of the word "Yeshua," the Hebrew word for "Jesus," which he and his father got in israel in July.

He has also tweeted references about posting pictures of himself shirtless to show off his tattoos:

"Im thinking to myself 'wow really justin 3 shirtless pics in 3 days' who do i think i am a young @Mark_Wahlberg sheesh lol," he wrote (we don't mind, J.B.).

Several reports are trying to decipher the meaning of the crown symbol, which could reference his position of being a male with the most followers on Twitter.

Beiber is only second to Lady Gaga to having the most Twitter followers; they both have almost 30 million. As of last month, he had a confirmed 27 million followers on the social media site.

The teen sensation filmed a segment for the hit singing competition and reality show "X Factor: USA" at a home in Hollywood Hills on Monday, Aug. 27. As one of the show's guest celebrity mentors, he will assist LA Reid in mentoring his chosen singers.

"Away from twitter all day getting this work in. missed my peoples. #BELIEBERS love you. #DirectRelationshipWithMyFans #MUCHLOVE," Bieber tweeted that evening.

Bieber is set to appear at the 2012 MTV VMAs when the show airs live from Los Angeles' Staples Center on Thursday, Sept. 6.
