The BET Honors 2015 is taping tonight, Jan. 24, in Washington, D.C. at the Warner Theatre.

Established in 2008, this is The BET Honors seventh year esteeming the lives and achievements of African-American luminaries.

At 10 a.m. the red carpet got "rolled out" for this year's honorees, which BET PR's Twitter happily showed off.

Wayne Brady is hosting the evening once again and he's "ready" for it. He previously hosted The BET Honors 2014.

The honorees this year are five outstanding individuals who will be recognized for their groundbreaking accomplishments in art, music, theater, education, technology and business.

The honorees are as follows:

Kanye West is receiving the Visionary Award since he's highly regarded in the world of hip-hop.

Usher is receiving the Musical Arts Award since he has grown so much as an artist over the years.

Phylicia Rashad is receiving the Theatrical Arts Award due to her triumphs as an actress.

Dr. Johnnetta Betsch Cole is receiving the Education Award for her amazing educational voyage and professional career, including being the Director of the National Museum of African Art, Smithsonian Institution.

Microsoft Chairman/Virtual Instruments CEO John W. Thompson is receiving the Technology and Business Award for building progress at some of America's top companies.

The performers for this year's Honors include the following seven talented individuals:

Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Mary J. Blige, Patti LaBelle, K. Michelle, Jill Scott and Charlie Wilson.

The BET Honors 2015 will premiere on Feb. 23 at 9 p.m. ET on BET.
