It looks like Buddy Velastro willl be returning to television screens for two more seasons of TLC's Cake Boss.

Buddy Valastro Wants To Remodel The Original 'Cake Boss' Bakery But Promises It Will Still Have 'Icing In The Walls'

On Monday, Deadline reported that the Cake Boss of Hoboken is back and returning to TLC for two more seasons of the reality TV series Cake Boss.

TLC and Discovery Networks International are partnering to bring 40 epsiodes that will make up season 7 and 8 of the show.

Production for the two seasons will be in February with overseas broadcast to begin this summer. A TLC U.S. premiere date has not yet been announced.

According to the publication, the new seasons of the show will be produced by the original series' Jon Sechrist, High Noon Entertainment and Valastro's Cakehouse Media.

"Because of Buddy's global appeal, it is a recipe for success to have Discovery Networks International partner with TLC in the U.S. to produce additional seasons of Cake Boss," DNI President JB Perrette said. "Buddy is a fan favorite... larger than life for our international audiences, and a valued partner of ours."

The series centers around Buddy Valastro who runs the family bakery that opened in 1910 which he acquired from his father. Valastro, who is the Cake Boss, directs his artistic and creative team in baking over-the-top cakes, pastries, cookies and fudge. Of course, the show throws in some family drama to keep it entertaining.

Cake Boss first premiered on TLC in May 2008. The season 6 finale was last February.
