It's time to get back into the complicated spy world of the Jennings as season 3 of The Americans is premiering tonight, January 28, on FX.

The show's anticipated return is finally here, and things are only going to get more intense as Philip (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth Jennings (Keri Russell) navigate their lives as KGB agents living in America and raising a family they have come to feel immensely close to.

The Wall Street Journal has a primer on what fans can expect from the next chapter and what challenges the couple might have to deal with. 

The report also gave Rhys's take on the next season, in which he stated that the couple confronting each other about their respective opinions on how to raise a family and the right way to do it, given their very peculiar situation.

"The entire season is that grapple and that wrestle between the two as they thrash it out," Rhys stated in a conference call with journalists.

Nina (Annett Mahendru) will also very much be part of The Americans universe, even though she was put behind bars. According to WSJ, she will be be very active and take on a new assignment while keeping in touch with her lover Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich).
