Ke$ha appeared on the red carpet for the 2012 MTV VMA with a revamped image but prior to the event she tweeted a nude photo of herself to her three million followers.

The revealing image shows Ke$ha in the buff sitting on the chair as she is surrounded by her team of stylists prepping her for the annual awards show.

"Just naked brushing my teeth pre-VMAs" she captioned the picture posted on Instagram.

The "Tik Tok" singer arrived for the event fully dressed in a black lace dress with nude underlining. The 25-year-old simplified her image by removing her piercings, wore minimal makeup and simple straight blonde hair swept to one side.

The dance music singer attended the ceremony at the Staples Center in Los Angeles to promote her as-yet-released single.

Ke$ha has never been shy of creating controversy through Twitter. In June she tweeted a picture of her last tattoo, the words "SUCK IT!" inked on her inner bottom lip. She added the caption: "new tatt!!! @alchemytattoola https://instagr.am/p/MXqKieu1Xu/." 

Ke$ha's tattoo was created by her friend Jules, a tattoo artist from Alchemy Tattoo in Los Angeles.

Other tattoos include the word "YEAH!" on her foot, which was done by a friend at home. She also has an anchor on her wrist and a dollar sign on her hand.

In April, the singer posted a photo of herself peeing in the street. A month before that, she posted a picture of metal studs glued to the side of her shaved head.

Ke$sha is so obsessed with tattoos that she owns a tattoo machine at home and has been known to permanently draw ink designs to almost everyone who visits her home.
