Kim Kardashian made a beeline from fashion to politics on Thursday, Aug,6.

The reality star tweeted a photo of herself with a group of friends on a private jet plane leaving New York to Charlotte, NC, to host an after party for the 2012 Democratic National Convention.

"This is how we do.... Private plane & Wendy's! DNC party here we come," she tweeted.

Kardashian is in the picture she snapped on her mobile phone with her close friend Jonathan Cheban and fashion designer Rachel Roy.

Kardashian reportedly hosted a DNC afterparty at Club Hush in Charlotte.

Prior to the flight Kardashian made an appearance for Fashion Night Out at Lord & Taylor department store in new York City to promote her latest fragrance.

The 31-yar-old signed bottles for fans who lined up several hours in advance to get a glimpse of the Armenian beauty.

The fashion entrepreneur wore a black long-sleeved dress with a wide gold belt.

There was no word if her boyfriend rapper Kanye West joined her in Charlotte - the "Otis" rapper did not appear at the 2012 MTV VMAs at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star arrived in New York two days before Fashion Night Out to attend a magazine party to help kick off new York Fashion Week. Several fashion blogs have reported that Kardashian will come back to New York to attend several fashion shows.
