It's been smooth sailing for Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) following their Yuletide decision to throw their hats in the relationship ring, but it the honeymoon phase will soon come to an end. The events of "Expiration Date" will apparently cause tempers to flair.

Set to air as episode 16 of season 5, the Terence Nightingall helmed installment will give viewers a fresh new look at the LAPD detective NCIS agent.

Deeks' Mystery To Put Kensi In Danger On 'NCIS: LA'? EP Teases Episode 18 Problems

 "#HappySaturday morning. [Terence Nightingall] completed D[ay] 1 of E614," executive producer John Peter Kousakis tweeted in January. "He directed #densi in a scene like never b4 in 6 years. #staytuned."

While the couple spat will certainly add a little drama to the spy-infused plot, the real trouble will come when Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) is shot in the arm. Luckily season 5's Thapa (Ernie Reyes Jr.) will lend his gurkha skills to the team as they attempt to apprehend the shooter and track down a CIA spy.
