Blake Shelton has some competition for his wife's affections.

Miranda Lambert Dishes On Song About Teen Pregnancy

Lambert was pretty busy last month putting together over $200,000 for animal shelters across the country.

According to People on Wednesday, Lambert is incredibly dedicated to her cause. "I feel so passionately about helping all animals…" declared the 31-year-old country music star. "The people at these shelters do such amazing work day in and day out and are truly heroes for the animals."

Miranda Lambert Says Her Husband Was 'Made' For Comedy

Lambert has helped provide aid for these animals through MuttNation, a foundation she created with her mother in 2009.

"The unconditional love you get from a dog is better than anything else," insisted Lambert. "I can give the biggest show of my life, and my dogs don't give a damn. They're just happy to see their mom. Everyone should have a dog. The love they give back is like nothing else."

Lambert definitely practices what she preaches. She has nearly a dozen dogs of her own and while some husbands might feel pushed aside, Shelton has handled the full house pretty gracefully. Lambert also remains considerate of her husband's feelings, making sure not overwhelm him.

"I have four [dogs] that are in our house most of the time," Lambert told People back in November. "But I looked at Blake one day and realized if I don't give him a break from these dogs, he might go crazy. I want to keep them all, but I need Blake to be good with that too."

So what was Lambert's solution? Did she part with her furry friends? Not exactly.

"I built them their own house outside of ours…" said Lambert. "We had heat and air put in it…so they have their own little place."

When they aren't busy touring, Lambert and Shelton live together with their many dogs in Tishomingo, Okla.
