One of the more popular stars on Netflix's Orange Is the New Black is getting married; congrats are in order for Lea DeLaria.

DeLaria, who plays the loud and proud "Big Boo" on Orange Is the New Black, is engaged to be married to girlfriend Chelsea Fairless, according to a new report by E! News. Fairless is a fashion editor. DeLaria announced this during the American Songbook series at Lincoln Center Thursday night.

"We met through Orange. Her dear friend plays Leanne on the show. She introduced us and we've been together ever since. It's been two and a half years," DeLaria told E! News of the news. "I proposed to her. Everyone saw how emotional I was at the SAG awards. I was so filled with love. I turned to her at the Netflix party that night and asked her to marry me. We announced it to all of our friends there."

With Orange Is the New Black filming in the summer, DeLaria said that she wants to have the wedding take place during that time next year, since she wants everyone there.

"We want to do it in the summer so my entire cast can be there," she explained. "But there's not enough time to get everything together for this summer. We're thinking July 2016. We want a nice long, romantic engagement."

DeLaria's Orange Is the New Black character Big Boo has been one of the few supporting characters to not receive a flashback episode thus far in the series. It remains to be seen if the writers will feature a backstory for her, explaining how she was sentenced.

Orange Is the New Black season 3 airs in the summer on Netflix, though the streaming network has not yet announced a specific release date.
