Jon Gosselin might be known as a "deadbeat" dad to some, but it looks like he is trying to change that. The former reality television star, who has dealt with rather hard times lately, admitted that he took up DJing so can help provide for his eight children.

In a new interview with Mcall Newspaper this week, Kate Gosselin's ex-husband says that he is now working as a DJ in his hometown of Allentown, Penn. so he can help support his family while trying to make a decent living, too.

He said, "I wanted to follow my dreams and this allows me to spend time with my kids. I'm just trying to provide for my family."

What's more, Jon says that while he's clashed with his ex-wife about having their kids film for her TLC reality shows, he says he doesn't regret doing Jon and Kate Plus 8.

He said, "The kids are taken care of financially. They go to a private school and have had opportunities that I couldn't have given them working in IT."

As far as his eight children, Jon added, "They're doing really well. I think they are more well rounded because of it and they all handle celebrity really well."

Jon even made a little jab at his ex-wife and her recent firing on Donald Trump's The Celebrity Apprentice earlier this month.

Jon simply said, "I saw it coming."
