Teenage heartthrob Brooklyn Beckham seems to have hit the age where his parents can be embarrassing.

On Tuesday, Hello Magazine posted the details from the 15-year-old's soccer playing superstar dad, David Beckham, who mentioned that his oldest son does not like to be seen with his parents.

"He's at the age now when he doesn't want me to drop him outside the school and things like that, which I definitely do anyway!" David told Good Morning America.

Brooklyn apparently wants his dad to drop him off at school around the corner, which can still leave an awkward moment for the teenager.

"I wasn't happy about it because I'd got up at seven in the morning to take him to school," David said. "So I dropped him round the corner, and as he was walking into school I opened the window and shouted, 'I love you!' to him. It didn't go down too well but it made him smile a couple of days later."

The soccer star also dished on his son's birthday plans this March where he will be celebrating twice- once with his family and again with his friends.

"I think [Brooklyn] wants to go for a dinner with his friends and he'll have a separate dinner with his family," David noted.

David has been married to Victoria Beckham for 15 years. They have three other children together, Romeo, 12, Cruz, 9, and Harper, 3.
