President Barack Obama was amongst those speaking out about domestic violence and his speech can be watched below. Others involved in the impactful tribute, include domestic abuse survivor turned activist Brooke Axtell and Katy Perry who gave an inspiring performance of her song By the Grace of God.

Hollywood Life reported Monday that Brown was fine with the theme of preventing domestic violence being such a huge part of the Grammys this year.

"Chris definitely thought the message was important and hopes everyone took note of it, for sure. It hit him in his gut and made him think about [his 2009 assault on Rihanna]," a source revealed to the site.

"Chris thinks the constant reminders are certainly a good thing because it helps to protect women and he hopes it will prevent men from acting out irrationally," the source added.

"Obviously, he knows violence of any kind is not the answer and respects the Grammys and thinks they did a nice job bringing awareness to domestic violence into the program. A big two thumbs up for them for making that happen," the insider concluded.
