The car crash that Bruce Jenner was involved in killed one person, but as the investigation continues, evidence proves that Jenner did try to stop by hitting his brakes before he rear-ended the car in front of him.

The Victim From Bruce Jenner's Car Accident Had No Driver's License, Vehicular Manslaughter Is A Possibility

On Monday, CNN reported that even though Jenner hit the car in front of him so hard that it went into oncoming traffic and was then struck by a Hummer, he did try to stop before the collision.

The car that he rear-ended was being driven by 69-year-old Kim Howe who died at the scene upon impact, and now this could turn the collission into a case for vehicular manslaughter.

"There is significant skid evidence to indicate that he did try to stop and was in the process of stopping before the collision," Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Philip Brooks said.

He also said that each of the individuals involved in the crash are cooperating even though their phones are being searched for evidence of texting and driving.

"Some say he [Jenner] had a cell phone in his hand. Some say he had a cigarette," Brooks said. "(A) cigarette's irrelevant because it's not illegal to smoke while driving, so it's just his cell phone records that we're getting from his provider that will shed some light on the situation."

Though the crash was fatal and the results could end up in a major trial, even more possibly for Jenner, it will still be a while before they even determine who was at fault for the collission.

"It could take up to six months before a final determination of fault, if any, is made in this case," he said.
