A new report reveals that Sarah Connor's (Emilia Clarke) parents will be assassinated in Terminator: Genisys, and Arnold Schwarzenegger's character will step in as her guardian.

Terminator Fans reported that Sarah will lose her parents as a young girl, and Schwarzenegger's character, the Guardian, will protect her growing up.

The new Sarah will be aware of her destiny since she is 9 years of age and will be raised by an older T-800, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Terminator: Genisys Is A "Reset" That "Shifts The Course Of Everything"

Co-producer David Ellison dished about this aspect of Sarah's character.

"Since she was 9 years old, she has been told everything that was supposed to happen," Ellison said. "But Sarah fundamentally rejects that destiny. She says, 'That's not what I want to do.' It's her decision that drives the story in a very different direction."

The new film is being directed by Alan Taylor. Actors Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney), John Connor (Jason Clarke), and Sandrine Holt (House of Cards) will be playing Detective Cheung, who will "arrest Kyle and Sarah when they arrive in 2017."

While it had been suggested that the film will be a reboot, that is not exactly true. It has been reported that Terminator: Genisys will rewind to the first two films in the series and will move back and forth in the plot with the help of time travel scenes.

Terminator: Genisys is scheduled to release in July 2015.
