'Survivor' Contestant Shirin Practices 'Voting People Out' In Real Life?

So Kim, 31, is a retail buyer from Long Beach, Calif. who is one of the 18 players competing in Survivor: Worlds Apart this spring. She was actually cast for Survivor: San Juan del Sur with her sister but they were cut due to a medical issue.

Fresh off a huge year in her life, So describes one of the "best and worst years" of her life in her CBS bio. She says that she went through a divorce, moved across the country and changed jobs all within a year.

Will New Season of 'Survivor' Recapture 'Cagayan' Success?

So's adaptability might help her greatly in the game, which requires players to make connections with people and then vote them out.

She compares herself to three of Survivor's biggest legends, Ozzy Lusth, Parvati Shallow and John Cochran for their physical capability, coyness and paranoia, respectively.

In the game, So says that she has the physical, mental and emotional aspects covered.

"People who know me say I'm the strongest girl they know - physically, mentally and emotionally," she says. "Physically, I would kill it in challenges. Mentally, I am extremely analytical and approach things objectively. Emotionally, I know how to laugh at myself and make the best of any situation. And I would have no problem being manipulative in order to further myself!"

So will be playing on the white collar tribe.

Survivor: Worlds Apart is slated to premiere on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
