Drake Releases New Music Without Any Warning

While this news should come at no surprise, the rapper's new mixtape is his fourth chart-topper and it probably won't be his last.

On Wednesday, Billboard reported that Drake's new album sold 495,000 copies in its first week. Music forcasters predicted that the rapper's mixtape would sell half a million, and while he was shy of his mark, that's still a great start.

Drake's Fans Rave About His Newly Released Mixtape

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption. Drake's new album, which can only be purchased on ITunes, bought in 535,000 units in the first week, ending on Feb. 15.

Just a day after releasing the new album, the hip hop star took to Twitter to ask his fans what they thought of his new mixtape, and based on their responses and his new no. 1 spot, it's safe to say they the fans love it.

Fans on Twitter deemed the rapper a musical legend and they had nothing but praise for the new album.

The 17-song mixtape has captured the attention of fans around and it's clear that they are looking forward to more of his new music.

Back in July, it was confirmed that Drake is working on his 6th studio album entitled, Views From The 6. While the rapper has yet to confirm a release date, the new album is believed to be due later this year.
