Woolf, famous for playing the lovable Meep on American Horror Story: Freak Show this past season, passed away on Monday according to new reports. The actor had been in critical, then stable condition following his being hit by a car mirror last week.

"We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from all over the world for our beloved Ben," the actor's family said in a statement. "He touched so many hearts in his 34 years. His memory will live on within each of us and within his work."
"Ben was one-of-a-kind, and will never be forgotten," Woolf's agency ZTPR said in another statement. "The time we all shared together will be remembered forever."
Woolf's role as Meep had earned the actor a lot of love from the American Horror Story audience. Meep only appeared in the first two episodes of the season, at which point he was wrongfully imprisoned where his fellow prisoners wound up killing him. He would later appear in the finale of Freak Show.
Meep's death in the second episode of the season caused a lot of anger among AHS fans, many of whom tweeted the hashtag "JusticeforMeep" in honor of the lovable character.
Before Freak Show, Woolf had previously appeared in the first season of American Horror Story as the Infantata, a.k.a. Thaddeus Montgomery, the child of Nora (Lily Rabe) and Charles (Matt Ross).
American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy has tweeted out his condolences over the loss.
RIP Ben Woolf. One of the most inspirational people I've ever met. https://t.co/3mlXoNhOM3
