The girls of Fifth Harmony are known for their strength, beauty and talent and Normani Kordei Hamilton has definitely proved that won't ever change.

The 5H girls are like sisters and are always there for each other and that goes for friends of theirs outside of their group too.

Zendaya happens to be really good friends with the girl group, but appears to have the closest bond with Hamilton and over the weekend at the Oscars Zendaya switched up her hairstyle to dreadlocks and she received some pretty harsh criticism from many people.

Hamilton thought Zendaya looked fabulous at the big awards show and even said "I'm dead" for some dramatic effect on Twitter.

One of the harshest comments made about Zendaya's dreadlocks look came from E!'s Fashion Police host Giuliana Rancic.

Yahoo! reported Rancic said, "I feel like she smells like patchouli oil. Or weed. Maybe weed?"

Hamilton tweeted "just wow," which probably signifies the shock brought on by such a harsh comment toward her friend.

Monday night, Zendaya took to Twitter to share an incredibly well thought out response over what Rancic said about her hairstyle.

"There is a fine line between what is funny and disrespectful," Zendaya stated before diving into some facts about some prominent African American people, including Ava DuVernay and Heather Andrea Williams, who also happen to have dreadlocks.

Zendaya pointed out, "There is already harsh criticism of African American hair in society without the help of ignorant people who choose to judge others based on the curl of their hair."

"My wearing my hair in locs on an Oscar red carpet was to showcase them in a positive light, to remind people of color that our hair is good enough," the young entertainer said.

Hamilton retweeted Zendaya's message.

She also tweeted Zendaya saying, "I love you," along with a long text message that further explained her pride.

"I am proud to see you embrace the beauty of our culture," Hamilton told Zendaya.
