In between releasing controversial images on her Instagram, Rihanna has found time to create and release a new catchy single, "Diamonds", for her upcoming album.

The Bajan beauty's first single is a certified hit. The music track was produced by Stargate, the production team behind the singer's other chart-topping singles including "Don't Stop the Music," "Rude Boy" and "Only Girl (In the World)."

The song's lyrics are impressive as the 24-year-old states her relationship with her love "shine bright like a diamond"  as she echoes repeatedly "we're beautiful in the sky."

"Palms rise to the universe/ As we, moonshine and molly/ Feel the warmth, we'll never die/ We're like diamonds in the sky," she sings.

"It gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it," she told Las Vegas radio host Elvis Duran in an interview at the iHeartRadio festival. "The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it's about love," she added.

In the interview she described the song as "laid back" and that it is a "happy and hippy record."

The single's cover art is also gaining attention. The photo features what is likely the singer's hands rolling paper with diamonds in it.

'Diamonds" is the first single for the "We Found Love" singer's upcoming seventh album which is rumored to be titled "7 Wonders."

Her next world tour scheduled for 2013 will also be called "Diamonds."
