On Thursday, a review of Katherine Heigl's Home Sweet Hell in The Seattle Times calls her role "devilish," and claims that Heigl "kills it."

The reviewer, Tom Keogh, calls the film a "problematic but fitfully funny thriller-comedy" with Heigl starring as a suburban wife, Mona, who "descends into madeness and violence."

Even though Keogh only gives the movie 2.5 stars out of 4, he does say that there is no reason for a casting director to overlook Heigl if he is "fantasy-casting the role of Lady Macbeth."

Though the critic speaks highly of Heigl's performance, he does have some issues with the rest of the film.

"The conception of Mona in director Anthony Burns' film and Heigl's smart performance are the best things going in 'Home Sweet Hell.' [Patrick] Wilson has good moments, too, but there's a laziness about some of the narrative and other characters," Keogh writes.

Home Sweet Hell is directed by Anthony Burns. The screenplay is written by Carlo Allen, Ted Elrick and Tom Lavagnino. It stars Heigl, Wilson, Jim Belushi and Jordana Brewster.

According to IMDb, Home Sweet Hell follows Don Champagne who seems to have it all until his wife, Mona, finds out he had an affairs with a salesgirl at his furniture shop. Apparently, Mona will "stop at nothing" to maintain their storybook life.
