Trainwreck is Schumer's very first film as a lead and is set to premiere on July 17.

Schumer joins forces with Judd Apatow for the raunchy new film.

"People always ask me, 'Are you nervous?'" Schumer said. "And I say, 'No. I have no time.'"

In the interview, Apatow recalled Schumer's dedication to the film.

"Some people you give notes on a script and they come back six months later. Amy comes back in eight days with a new draft," he said.

Schumer also plays a character also named Amy, who is a writer at a men's magazine.

She has the sexual appetite of a man and an allergy to intimacy, but that will all change when she meets a sports doctor after being assigned his story to write. The doctor is also best friends with LeBron James.

"I wrote LeBron in the script as a hypothetical," Schumer said. "And Judd was like, 'Let's just get him!'"

But when Amy is assigned a story about a male doctor named Aaron, her tried-and-true ways of female independence have her questioning everything as she begins to fall for her interviewee.

Aaron calls Amy after having sex with her and wants to "hang out." This appears to immediately freak her out leaving her with no clue how to handle the situation.

To prove how much a trainwreck Amy really is, she has a friend who asks if she is on antibiotics after only having four drinks rather than her normal amount of drinking when they go out.

During the trailer she appears to be in a constant state of hungover. She's seen walking in yesterday's clothing and getting comments like, "Amy. What happened? Did church let out early?"

Trainwreck also stars Brie Larson and Tilda Swinton and is due to hit the big screens this summer.
