A simmering feud between two rappers, Rick Ross and Young Jeezy, escalated into a brawl in Atlanta on Saturday, Sept. 29.

According to several reports, a fight broke out in the parking lot during the taping for the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center.

TMZ posted a video on Sunday. Sept. 30 that showed security guards breaking up the fight. In the video, Ross is seen shirtless and yelling, and eventually escorted away from the scene. When the unidentified male Ross is yelling and tries to follow the rapper, security steps in to remove him.

TMZ initially reported there were gunshots. An Atlanta Police Department spokesperson confirmed there was a fight, but no arrests were made.

Police spokesman Carlos Campos told Billboard local authorities arrived on the scene around 7:30 p.m. Campos said there were no injuries and denied rumors that gunshots came into play.

Billboard also reported there is another video of a fight between MMG's Gunplay and 50 Cent's camp.

Gunplay discussed the details of the incident in an interview on New York's radio station Power 105.1. He alleged that 50 Cent and 8 men from his security team beat him and robbed him of his necklace.

When TMZ asked 50 Cent to tell his side of the story he replied, "They gave out awards."

Saturday's confrontation between the men's entourages escalated from words to "pushing and shoving," according to tweets from New York City hip-hop radio station DJ HOT 97's Funkmaster Flex.

P. Diddy's recording artists Machine Gun Kelly confirmed the report that police pepper-sprayed the crowd when he tweeted, "Got mase in my eyes. That beef sh*t just got real outside."

Several tweets alleged the fracas began during the tribute to the late Chris Lighty.

Ross reportedly taped his appearance not long after the incident to perform "Hold Me Back" and "Ice Cold," reported Billboard.

Ross and Young Jeezy are label mates - both are signed to Def Jam Records. The two have collaborated on several records, "Hustlin (Remix)," "Luxury Tax" and "Erryday."

According to Global Grind, the feud between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy originally began in 2010.

When Rick Ross dropped his biggest hit, "B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast)," an ode to ex-drug kingpin, Big Meech and his crew, B.M.F, Jeezey reportedly took offense to the recording of the song because he was allegedly affiliated with the drug kingpin.

Jeezy released a mixtape called "1000 Grams," which featured his own version of "B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast)," called "Death B4 Dishonor" which featured Meech on the track.

Ross was alleged to have been disappointed by Jeezy's line that took a jab at him:

"How you blowin money fast, you don't know the crew? Oh you part of the fam, sh*t I never knew."

For the next two years the two rappers made comments about each other in a series of interviews every time they made an appearance to promote their latest endeavors on-camera and in several radio interviews.

BET later issued a statement that read: "BET Networks works very hard to bring the best in entertainment to the city of Atlanta. For the past seven years BET has celebrated the true art form of Hip Hop. Due to some misjudgment of select attendees, it is unfortunate that certain incidents took place. BET Networks does not condone any type of violence. Local authorities are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible."

The 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards will air on BET on Oct. 9.
