The verdict is still out on whether or not Ben Crawford (Ryan Phillippe) murdered his son and left his body in the woods, but the skeletons in his neighbors' closets will continue to pop out on Secrets & Lies, further complicating the ongoing mystery.

According to a tweet by Barbie Kligman, the show's writer/showrunner/executive producer, Melissa Gilbert, who portrays neighbor Lisa Daly, a single mother with two sons (one of whom is autistic), will have a much bigger presence in the upcoming March 22 episode-meaning some new secrets could come out and play a role in the investigation into Tom Murphy's death.


"@lauriecrosswell @MelissaEGilbert not in this episode! But don't fret. She has a BIG episode next week!" she wrote after a fan asked where Gilbert's character had been during the March 15 episode.

Gilbert also tweeted about her character's role in the mystery, hinting that maybe fans, and Phillippe's Ben, should take a closer look at her when it comes to the mystery.

"Maybe," she responded when a fan said they should take a good look at her character.

The mystery series, which began on March 1, has seen the twisted mystery into Tom's death take a variety of turns. Not only did a DNA test reveal to Ben that he was actually Tom's father, but his missing flashlight (which later turned up in his truck) has been proven to be the murder weapon. In addition, he learned his daughter, Natalie (Indiana Evans) has had a pregnancy scare and seemed to be growing too close to his childhood friend, Dave (Dan Fogler).

Now, after eliminating the man who believed he was Tom's father, Scott, as a suspect, as well as the mysterious Richardsons (Kate Ashfield & Steven Brand), Ben is grasping at straws to prove his innocence as his loved ones continue turning against him. Now, if his other neighbor, Lisa is proven to somehow be involved in the mystery, it could prove to put him and his family in danger.

Secrets & Lies airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
