Here's a for all those suffering from acute Nineties nostalgia, pop singer Natalie Imbruglia is back to serenade us with her spin on a bunch of contemporary hits.

The Australian artist, who is essentialy a cover maestro, known for popularising Ednaswap's 'Torn', is set to do what she does best on her new album, Male, due out July 28. Imbruglia has covered songs by the likes of Daft Punk, Damien Rice, Death Cab for Cutie, The Cure, Tom Petty and Iron & Wine.

Imbruglia's spin on Instant Crush has already hit the internet. In a recent interview, she spoke about covernig the song which was a collaboration between Julian Casablancas and Daft Punk. "On the original version, you can't really hear what the song is about because of the effect that Julian's voice has, which I love, by the way," she said. "However, it is such a beautiful story that I want people to hear it and connect with the words. I'm really proud of the way it turned out,"
