Since realizing Clint (Lucas Kerr) had taken blood from both Theresa (Jen Lilley) and Brady (Eric Martsolf), Melanie (Molly Burnett) has been searching for an angle that makes since in the mystery on Days of Our Lives.

Melanie's Suspicions Continue To Grow

She initially became suspicious of Clint when she overheard him speaking to Dr. Mandrake on the phone a few months back, and her research of Mandrake unveiled that he was a fertility doctor. Then, after Brady was attacked at his home and had blood taken from him, Melanie suspected Theresa and went to confront her, only to discover Clint with vials of blood belonging to both her and Brady.

Now, Melanie has stumbled across a potential theory that someone had taken the embryo for the baby Theresa once claimed to be pregnant with and carried it as a surrogate-which would explain the blood samples being taken and used to test the baby for any potential diseases. And though she believes it is a little too far-fetched, she will act on the theory for now-and will seek the proof so she can present it to both Brady and Theresa.

Melanie Puts Her Foot Down With Brady

What Mel is unaware of right now is that her theory is actually correct. When Kristen (Eileen Davidson) was still in town, she overheard Theresa confiding in Anne (Meredith Scott Lynn) about her pregnancy, and was jealous that she was the one carrying Brady's child. As a result, she used her DiMera connections to hire Mandrake, who had Theresa kidnapped so her embryo could be extracted. Later, when Theresa told Brady her news that she was pregnant and took another test, she was given negative results.

However, is Mel does actually come across the truth and Kristen's involvement in it, she could be setting herself up for some extreme danger.
