Selenis Leyva (who plays Gloria), Laura Gómez (Blanca) and Diana Guerrero (Martiza Ramos) spoke with Wetpaint Entertainment this week about what's ahead for season 3.

The three actresses have nothing but praise for the new season, which is being released this summer. Leyva in particular revealed that her character will go through quite a journey in season 3.

"Gloria Mendoza goes through a major journey this season," Leyva revealed. "Major. Which for me, as an actress, was lovely to get my teeth into." While her season 2 storyline was admittedly "intense," season 3 is "even more intense" for Gloria.

Meanwhile, fans worried about Guerrero leaving the show due to her role on The CW's Jane the Virgin do not have to worry. The actress promised "she's there, she's being funny as ever."

While the cast of Orange Is the New Black is quite large, it is about to expand with even more characters being added to the mix in season 3. Gómez previewed this increase in cast members:

"There are new characters that are coming, and that's going to bring a lot of drama!" she teased.

A lot of the buzz for season 3 has been around how this season is going to be the best one yet, with Lea DeLaria (Big Boo) going so far as saying that it will blow season 1 and 2 out of the water in terms of quality.

Orange Is the New Black season 3 is slated to be released on Friday, June 12 on Netflix. The streaming site will likely be releasing all 13 new episodes at once as they usually do.
