Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) spent the first three seasons completely enamored with Beacon Hills' resident genius, but the introduction of Malia gave the teen a new love interest while Lydia (Holland Roden) seems to be done with teenage boys for good.

Despite this, series creator Jeff Davis is loath to rule out the possibility of a future relationship between the two original cast members.

"We debate that a lot in the writers room a lot," Davis told Clevver. "There are different factions in the writers room where some people [have] always seen Stiles and Lydia getting together and then others saying that [they] think they are better off as friends. So it's something we argue about a lot. We'll have to see. We don't know yet."

Giving Stydia the Ross and Rachel treatment however, would undoubtedly leave Malia (Shelly Hennig) in a bad place. Hennig has made it clear that coyotes are a mate-for-life species, and those tendencies carry over into their werecoytoe counterparts. It seems for Malia, at this point in time, Stiles is most certainly the one her wild side sees as "the one."
