Last week TMZ reported that Mob Wives reality star Big Ang was recently admitted into a Staten Island hospital and now doctors are preparing to perform surgery to remove a large tumor and it has recently been conformed that the tumor is cancerous.

Last Thursday, Big Ang took to Facebook to confirm that the news about being hospitalized and apparently the reality star has throat cancer.

After being hospitalized and undergoing a series of tests, doctors have revealed that the tumor is malignant, and as of now it is unknown if the cancer has spread to any other parts of her body.

Doctors believe that the cancer is contributed to 40 years of smoking and apparently the cancer is already starting to affect Ang's voice box and her ability to talk.

"Big Ang isn't going anywhere!" she assured her fans. "This is a minor setback, but I promise you this... I already have some BIG things in the world and will be returning to your TVs very soon."

"Always look after yourselves and don't neglect your health. I'm fortunate and blessed to have discovered something very early, and handle it in a positive manner," she continued on her Facebook post.

Ang is reportedly having surgery and she says that she will keep her fans up to date on her journey to recovery.
