It's time to shift focus to Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) as season 6 of The Good Wife inches closer to its finale, and one of the main events will be the private detectives exit from the show.

Finale Date For Season 3 Of The Good Wife Revealed

The creators of the CBS legal drama have kept things under lock and key when it comes to concluding Kalinda's character arc. But the show has been setting up traps for the detective, any of which could take her down. Kalinda was already neck-deep in trouble with Lemond Bishop (Mike Colter) who wanted her to be the middle person between him and Alicia (Julianna Margulies), and has generally been giving her threatening vibes. But in the latest episode, Kalinda has a whole new world of issues to deal with, which might have drastic repercussions for nto onky her but Diane (Christine Baranski).

Kalinda had fabricated evidence to help Cary get aquitted and Diane used it in court assuming it was real. This slip is going to come to bit them in the ass and Diane might have to also take the bullet for something Kalinda is solely responible for.

Will Johnny Elfman Return To Pursue Alicia?

So there are a few ways Kalinda might be making her exit. She might just vanish from the scene because of the guilt, or man up and admit her mistakes to Diane and probably get fired.

We also wondered if Bishop might pull the trigger on Kalinda, he is known to be pretty ruthless when it comes to betrayals, and Kalinda hasn't exactly been cooperating with his demands.

In an interview with TVLine, showrunners Michelle and Robert King didn't reject the idea of Kalinda being killed off, even though, they had recently staged a very dramatic death with Will (Josh Gardner). Also, the way things have been set up, with Kalinda having messed with Lemond Bishop, her life has already been put at risk.

"I would say that nothing is off the table and unfortunately, all we can say is that we are hoping to make it seem inevitable yet surprising," Michelle said.

Robert suggested that they were very keyed into how fans' emotions in relation to the characters, and that that would play in to Kalinda's exit in someway. They also said that things were very different with Josh Charles's exit, as the information was leaked and wasn't announced in the press the way Archie Panjabi's exit has, which might affect the way they conclude her character arc.

"The job is a little more difficult this year. We had luck and very good CBS information control in that we were able to hide that Josh Charles was leaving the show [last season]. We don't have that advantage this year," he said. "So, a lot of what we're doing is playing with audience expectations of how [Kalinda's exit] might happen. We're only maybe seven or eight weeks ahead of the audience in what we're shooting and writing, and what's really good about that is you can take into account what their feelings are about episodes, what their feelings are about the arc of the season, and you can even vary it a little. We can't turn water into wine, or black into white, but we can vary the expectations."

The next episode, titled 'Winning Ugly', will air on April 11 at 9 p.m. E.T. on CBS.
