Jennifer Aniston Hair Care: Actress Becomes Co-Owner Of Living Proof Beauty Company
Jennifer Aniston has one of the most famous heads of hair in the world, and now she's building a company based on it.
The actress, whose haircut became a nationwide sensation called "The Rachel" during the early seasons of "Friends," has become a co-owner and spokesperson for Living Proof, a Massachusetts-based hair care product line.
Living Proof was founded partly by Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor Dr. Robert Langer. The company's products uses scientific researchers from MIT to tackle and solve tough problems regarding hair and beauty.
Aniston released a statement announcing her involvement in Living Proof and her firm belief that the company's products work.
"Over the years, my hair has been subjected to everything ... blow dryers, flat irons, curling irons, color, extensions, you name it. My hair has taken a serious beating," the 43-year-old actress said. "After using these products, I felt like I finally discovered a solution that works every day. I could not be more excited to share Living Proof with the world."
Aniston told The Wall Street Journal that she has been asked to contribute to a hair care line before, but she didn't want to commit until she found products that she truly believed in and could throw her support behind.
"I have been approached many, many times," she said of previous offers. "You want to be part of something that's exciting and authentic. You can't get more interesting than these scientists."
Aniston officially announced her involvement in Living Proof on the same day photographers finally got a peek at her enormous engagement ring, which has been valued at $500,000.

Product promotion isn't new to Aniston. She also has an endorsement deal with Smartwater, for which she created a viral promotional video that included comic confessions like her hair being a wig and that she was pregnant with triplets.
