Amidst the recent peanut butter recall that was linked to cases of salmonella across the nation, Flying Food Group issued a voluntary recall of the Starbucks brand Protein Bistro Box, the Food and Drug Administration reported.

The products each contain a 0.5 ounce single-serving Honey Peanut Butter squeeze pack, which is part of the expanded recall by Justin's Nut Butter, according to Fox News.

The recalled Protein Bistro Boxes are those with the "Enjoy By" dates between Aug. 8 and Oct. 6, 2012. while the squeeze packs have "Best By" dates between July, 14, 2013, and Aug. 30, 2014.

Some of the peanuts used in the items were associated with the Sunland, Inc. peanut butter and almond butter recalls.

Back in September, Enstarz reported on a peanut butter recall for the Trader Joe's brand Creamy Salted Valencia Peanut Butter, which was linked to 29 salmonella cases in 18 states across the nation. The peanut butter involved in the chain's recall was manufactured by Sunland. The recall included some nut butters and nut products sold at Whole Foods Market, Target, Safeway, Fresh & Easy, Harry and David, Sprouts, Heinen's, Stop & Shop Supermarket Company, Giant Food of Landover, Md., and other stores, ABC News reported.

Sunland Inc. expanded its recall of peanut butter to include almond butter, cashew butter, tahini and other peanut products, the news source also added.

More than three-fourths of those who became ill from the peanut butter were children under the age of 18 and according to state health departments, three of the outbreaks were reported to happen in Massachusetts, one in Rhode Island and one in North Carolina.

The chain voluntarily pulled the item from their shelves and some of the nation's largest retailers followed suit as a precautionary measure.

"If you purchased this product, please do not eat it," Trader Joe's said in a statement. "We encourage you to return the product to any Trader Joe's for a full refund or dispose of it."
