Lauren Scruggs, the blogger and wife of news anchor Jason Kennedy, just opened up on her fashion site and how she decided to get it started up.

On Thursday, America Within posted an interview with the writer who created LOLO Magazine, a site that gives information on beauty tips while helping women be comfortable with themselves.

"I knew clearly from the beginning what I wanted LOLO to reflect and represent," Scruggs Kennedy said. "We hope to display beauty in the most genuine way, and want women to feel encouraged and empowered when they visit our site."

Things seemed to blossom really well with the online magazine, but things took an unfortunate turn after Scruggs Kennedy got into a helicopter accident that injured her hand and eye.

"[The blog] took off right from the beginning, but was initially only active for two months," she said. "It went on hold after my accident."

The anchor's wife then gave some words on wisdom on how one can succeed in pursuing a dream- staying patient and keeping things in perspective.

"When I doubted the venture, my dad would always remind me that even if my pursuit failed in my eyes, I would have grown so much as a person, which is really what matters in the end," she said.

Scruggs and her husband have been married for about four months now.
