In Week 6 of "Monday Night Football" action the Denver Broncos (2-3) will be taking on the San Diego Chargers (3-2). Despite some of his early season struggles, Broncos QB Peyton Manning has been playing like the quarterback he's known as for in the past three games. Manning has thrown for eight touchdowns and hasn't given up a single interception. During that respective span, the future Hall-of- Famer has also averaged a 75 percent completion rating.

Although it has been somewhat characteristic of Denver to start their seasons off slow, it was inevitable that Manning and his squad would face some growing pains as they continue to mesh with one another.

The team has many new pieces to their puzzle and it has clearly showed in the first five games of the football season. On three separate occasions, the Broncos were beaten by over a 20 point margin. However, to their defense (no pun intended), the three respective teams that dominated them were some of the NFL's finest in the San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans and New England Patriots.

Denver's offense will get a bit of a break when they take on San Diego on Monday night, as the Chargers' defense has performed less than stellar. As of recently, the San Diego defenders were embarrassed by Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. Saints QB Brees put up four touchdowns and threw for 370 yards against the Chargers.

On the other hand, the Broncos defense has some threats and bright spots in it with the likes of Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil leading the pass rush. Cornerback Tracy Porter will play a crucial role in the secondary during any turnover situations as well.
