According to In Touch Weekly on Tuesday, Loeb filed a lawsuit in California to prevent Vergara from destroying her embryos. The ex-couple created them six months before they split up.

"Nick has always wanted to be a father and will do whatever it takes to save these two remaining female embryos," an insider reportedly told In Touch. "Nick is very emotionally invested in these female embryos because he's pro-life and believes life begins at conception."

Sofia Vergara's Ex-Fiance Nick Loeb Dishes On Her New Relationship

According to Gossip Cop, Vergara's lawyer says that's simply not true, as she would rather have the embryos frozen indefinitely, given the fact that the couple is no longer together.

Vergara's lawyer said in a statement, "The claims made against Sofia Vergara by Nick Loeb are incredible and hold no merit. Vergara has never wanted to destroy her embryos."

"Vergara has never suggested that she wished to have the embryos destroyed," adds her attorney's statement. "She has always maintained that they be kept frozen, a fact of which Loeb and his counsel have always been aware, despite Loeb's statements to the contrary."

The actress' lawyer added, "Vergara, who has happily moved on with her life, is content to leave the embryos frozen indefinitely as she has no desire to have children with her ex, which should be understandable given the circumstances."
