According to Contact Music on Friday, the Hollywood actor says that he has a hard time making any decisions without Westfeldt by his side. He admits that he always consults with his partner before making any major moves.

He said, "Well, Jen and I have been together for 17 years now, and everything that happens in our lives gets run by one or the other.''

Hamm also said that he and Westfeldt spent a two-week vacation together after Mad Men wrapped up filming last year. ''After we wrapped, Jen and I went to Martha's Vineyard for two weeks to decompress. That was really nice," he added.

What's more, Hamm also opened up about dealing with depression in the past and how he tries not to exploit his personal experiences through his characters.

Hamm said, "I think what does happen is it teaches you to pull your life back together and maybe makes you a bit wary of indulging too much in your happiness - you worry that things might fall apart. It's not something that ever leaves you, although you can move past it.''
